It should have, but it didn’t. Reality won out over the wish, although in a diminished and less charismatic way. The renewed Esther is flashier than the one led around by Jerry, but the original was one of a kind, impossible to duplicate. A transition from the first Abraham took place once already: when money and fame came rolling in.
During that transition, a member of the party traveling with her from workshop to workshop got a call from Esther late at night after a session.
“They gave me a standing ovation,” she cooed proudly. So, Abraham, the first star of the show, was already shoved aside in 2005.
Esther and Jerry Hicks shared the news of Jerry’s illness in the spring of 2011. It seems likely that he was ill longer than they admitted. Jerry, a small man, had already lost 15 pounds before starting chemotherapy. Jerry’s illness accelerated the transition.
Reformatting for Abraham-Hicks 2.0
With her husband sidelined, no longer warming up workshop crowds and with support for Abraham-Hicks workshops dwindling, Esther began taking liberties, discarding her decades-old barefoot country preacher getup for a flashy new set of clothes.
The clothes aren’t astonishing in a normal context but for the previously dowdy, sexless Esther Hicks, they were. With the brains of the works gone, Abraham/Esther soon showed that she’d never been the smart one.
Adding to a list of already questionable “insights,” Esther explained to an anxious mother that she should not worry about her son’s unwillingness to share toys. She compared the brat to Jesus who, according to Esther, did not waste time worrying about other people’s “toylessness.” What Jesus was she talking about?
That was terrible. But then, she topped it. She rebuked the same mother for stopping her son from kicking their cat. The cat, Esther bluntly explained, was teaching the child. I’m not making this up.
Later, in a strange riff, Esther had Abraham spouting the virtues of copyright protections. Followers had copied her online workshops and shared them over the internet. This disrupted the flow of money wisdom.
The Abraham-Hicks Publishing operation filed a lawsuit, something Abraham-Hicks 1.0 said was never a good idea. But Esther beat even that.
Abraham-Hicks 2.0 In Full Bloom
The skeptic behind Kyra Speaks predicted Esther would come up with something “adorable” to mark Jerry Hicks’s death. But it still surprised when, on her first time back on stage, she channeled him. Jerry returned as a merry quipster in the middle of the spiritual preaching by Abraham.
In twenty-five years of workshop appearances, Esther always claimed that the one-hundred “nonphysical entities” that made up Abraham spoke in a single voice. She translated blocks of thoughts received in trance. Never had a single entity, not even Jesus who she claimed was one of them, spoken independently. Then, Jerry did.
And not only that, he treated Esther and her audience to a witty comment, after which she announced, “That was Jerry.”
True, she’d alerted attendees that Jerry just might appear, but here, Abraham-Hicks 2.0 got launched. There was no turning back. In following workshops, Esther stuffed Jerry back into silent mode, but she took a turn toward cult development…

well said, I always thought this cannot be real, if it is, why can't we all just talk to Abraham just like she does? and sometimes she never answered the question, but was talking about a hundred other things. I doubt this is real, it was just a great way to make a lot of money!
Right, Andrew. It was pretty calculated to get them back into the money after Jerry was impoverished by the breakup of his fourth marriage. When Abraham arrived, they were living in a rental apartment in Fresno. Twenty-five years later…
I wonder what Esther is doing now, I'm not really interested but the guy who knew the business was Jerry. I read Napoleon Hill's book, and I like the idea a lot that you can attract wealth and money, but I don't think you should make up a \”group\” like Abraham, that nobody but Esther has access to. I read 2 of their books but it's just like their shows, a lot of blabla around a topic but never a real solution.
Andrew, Esther has resumed weekly workshops, traveling around and she has added Jerry to those she claims to channel. He has imparted any wisdom yet, but has the role of a merry quipster. I covered this on Abraham-Hicks: The Sequel. Attendance is way down and she's pulling a team of factotums behind her. Some are betting she'll be out of the game within a year. It's that boring, but she's pretty savvy at this game, although she was never the smart one of the pair. I agree with you on the invention of Abraham as a sales gimmick. They wouldn't have gone anywhere without it, but one of the worst effects was in trivializing and retooling what are some pretty good sources of insight and wisdom. It discredits those who really tried to understand and teach, not just sell what Kyra calls \”used wisdom.\”
now that made me laugh, of course no show without Jerry, dead or alive – she should stop now, before people really see that she's making things up. There are plenty of \”real\” mediums, with the ability to channel, and of course only she has the ability to channel him. Used wisdom that's what it's all about. Anyone could make up something just teach something that's already been teached. It's just sad that so many people still believe in what she is saying. I watched so many videos of her now, she really never answered a question. One is asking about this and that and she is giving examples of something that has nothing to do with it OR as usual she tells a story about her and Jerry. In other words *hehe* she should stop and enjoy the rest of her life and money.
She probably had some ideas about doing that, Andrew, but she's being pushed by the whole entourage that depends financially on the workshops, cruises, merchandise, etc.But I think the ship is sinking fast enough that it won't float a whole lot longer.
I was an Abraham follower, and I learned that all following is blind. I opened my eyes and started questioning things about her and the channeling process. Besides her lack of ability to answer a question straight to the point. If you are claiming that you channel \”Infinite Intelligence\” and somebody asks about the String Theory and you don't have a clue…well, you are a scam, as simple as that. I have a bunch of DVD's from them I've been trying to sell but nobody wants them! I guess they will remind me how blind I was…

The \”it's just like gravity\” mantra parroted by the LoA bobbleheads? This comes from Atkinson. In fact, this magical law organizes, according to Atkinson not only gravity, but electromagnetism, electron spin, adhesion, cohesion, all force, and all motion in the universe. His proof?
