I’m a proud, lifelong hippie. From the moment I was reborn in 1966 and all throughout my life, I’ve identified as a hippie. Being a hippie means living open-minded, alovingr nature and living to the fullest. It also means constantly looking for new ways to express myself and make sure my voice is heard in the world at large.

The Power of Music
Music has always been an important part of my life, but as the Sixties burned in, music was the message.
Growing up in the ’60s, the music scene was full of radical vibes and revolutionary messages that really resonated.
The Beatles were sweetly quiet revolutionaries, an easy sale to Mom and Dad, but the Stones had the power.
And Dylan was the accidental guru for a generation aching for change, for crashing the conformist straight jacket.
I found solace in songs that spoke about peace, love, and understanding — something which has stayed with me throughout my life.
Music has had such a powerful influence on me that it’s even inspired some of my work. Like my novel Funny Music with its evolved hippie theme.
When I’m feeling creative, nothing smooths my channel better than putting on some tunes from back in the day.
Style is Everything
I’ve always believed that style is everything — it’s how you express yourself to the world around you. Hippies have always been known for their unique fashion choices — colorful clothes, fringe vests, sandals, headbands — so naturally, this has been part of my style for as long as I can remember.
But it goes beyond clothing; it’s also about how you carry yourself with confidence no matter what anyone else thinks or says about you.
The great thing about being a lifelong hippie is that you never have to worry about fitting into any mold because there are no rules when it comes to personal expression!
Living Life to Its Fullest
Living life to its fullest is something we can all aspire to regardless of our age or background — but it takes on extra meaning when you’re a proud lifelong hippie.
Every day is an opportunity to explore new possibilities and experiences without worrying about what other people think or say about you.
It’s all about following your heart and doing what makes you happy regardless of whether or not others approve of your choices. This kind of freedom is something we should all strive for in our lives.
A Lifelong Hippie, Now and Forever
At the end of the day, being a hippie isn’t just something that’s part of my past — it’s part of who I am today. We may not live in an era where peace signs adorn every corner as they did back in the ’60s, but there are still plenty of opportunities out there for us lifelong hippies to express ourselves and make sure our voices are heard loud and clear.
Whether through art, music or fashion — keep living life to its fullest and inspiring the generations ahead.
That’s my story anyway: Hippie Once; Hippie Forever!
Peace & Love everyone!
