About the Film
Wet Hot American Summer is a comedy set on the last day of summer camp in 1981. Counselors, campers, and scientists rush to finish romances, win competitions, and save the camp from a falling piece of NASA’s Skylab all with hilarious results. Starring Janeane Garofalo, Paul Rudd, Amy Poehler, Bradley Cooper, and more, this quirky ensemble cast turned the film into a cult classic.
Friends, this is more than just a movie night. It’s a chance to celebrate summer on Roosevelt Island one last time before we turn the page to fall. Let’s come together, share a laugh, and end the season with community spirit in full bloom.
See you at the library patio,

I Take the Tram Because I Have To
There are people on this Island you learn to recognize long before you ever learn their names. Like the real estate man with the blue goatee, the one whose name I keep forgetting, though I could pick him out of a lineup any time of day.
