The Octagon Express Returns

If anything signals that RIOC has conquered its Red Bus transportation challenges, it’s the return of the Octagon Express. Later today, the state agency intends to release this information:

We’re pleased to announce that starting next Monday, January 13th we will be resuming normal Octagon Express Service during morning rush hours using the RIOC Red Shuttle Bus.

Red Bus Shuttle

Octagon Express service will run from 7am to 10am, Mon-Fri on the following schedule:
The Octagon Express Shuttle leaves the Octagon at the top of every hour and runs on a 20-minute schedule:

  • X:00AM – Express Shuttle Bus leaves Octagon
  • X:20AM – Express Shuttle Bus leaves Octagon
  • X:40AM – Express Shuttle Bus leaves Octagon

The Octagon Express will only make stops at the F Train and Tram stations before returning to the Octagon. This service will once again supplement regular Red Bus local service which will continue on its normal schedule.

We want to thank Octagon residents for their patience while the Octagon Express was offline. We’ve made significant improvements to our overall bus fleet and are excited to be able to provide this service once again.
