From August 14-20, RIVAA Gallery is pleased to host New York Contemporary Art Center in presenting Symbiotic Diversity. This exhibition explores the intricate relationships between individual identity, multiculturalism, historical memory, and diverse artistic styles. The exhibition extends the theme of this year’s Venice Biennale, Stranieri Ovunque – Foreigners Everywhere. It showcases works that show the fusion and transmission of identity and history. These works reflect the fusion across different cultural backgrounds.

Symbiotic Diversity features a variety of artworks. These artworks embody the intersection of personal and collective histories. They also represent cultural identities and artistic expression. The exhibition aims to highlight how these elements coexist. The elements influence one another, creating a rich tapestry of contemporary art. This tapestry resonates with a global audience.

Join us for the opening reception on Thursday, August 15 from 6-9 PM. Jazz singer Christine Drayer and guitarist Mark Capon will play during the reception. Drayer is a Roosevelt Islander who has performed in a variety of theatrical venues over the past 20 years. Capon is an accomplished musician with more than four decades of experience playing within the New York jazz community.

We welcome you to this event and exhibition!
