July 15 City of Water Day 11am to 4pm (rain date 7/16) iDig2Learn partners with FDR Four Freedom State Park + NYPL + NYC H2O to celebrate the Nature of Water. Learn about oyster-filled coastlines, whales and dolphins in NYC waters, play the Aqueduct Challenge to grasp how water flows from mountain to city. Learn about NYC reservoirs. And don’t miss the ten minute 2PM Water is Life performance with Chris Bisram. This is a NY/NJ Regional day and this year’s theme is resilience.

At the June 18 meeting of the Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation’s Real Estate Development Advisory Committee, President and Chief Executive Officer B.J. Jones acknowledged that there had been no progress finding a tenant for the long-discussed medical space on Main Street. Hudson/Related Realty LLC had told him that filling the space, along with other vacant storefronts, was proving more difficult than expected.
