Photographer’s Notes About Under the Charles Bridge

Under the Charles Bridge, Prague, Czech Republic, modernist, surreal, as if posed, but it wasn’t. The  picture’s exactly how I found it while walking from the Old Town one afternoon.”

From a vantage point under the Charles Bridge, street photographer Deborah Julian looked up and saw people lingering from an odd angle. Visitors pass, and an umbrella balances on the rail.

About the Charles Bridge

The Charles Bridge in Prague is a historic bridge that crosses the Vltava River. It’s one of the most visited tourist destinations in the city, and it’s easy to see why. The bridge is beautiful, and it offers stunning views of the river and the cityscape. It’s also home to several art galleries and souvenir shops, making it the perfect place to spend an afternoon. If you’re visiting Prague, be sure to add the Charles Bridge to your list of must-see attractions.

This one announced itself by what the room permitted to move and what it stopped before it could breathe.
