It was not predicted, and if you slept late, you might have missed it, but our season’s first snowfall blanketed Roosevelt Island overnight. It was light, but beautiful.

Our Season’s First Snowfall

Because temperatures will rise to around 50 today, we won’t have a white Christmas or even patches of snow during lunchtime. But it’s the kind of weather surprise you can appreciate, a reminder that climate change has not turned New York City into a tropical rain forest yet.
