Friends, there is something special about those evenings when we gather in a local theatre, settle into our seats, and let ourselves laugh together. This season, Main Street Theatre & Dance Alliance is inviting our community to do just that with the MSTDA Senior Teen Theater production of All in the Timing, a celebrated collection of short plays by renowned playwright David Ives.
Winner of the John Gassner Playwriting Award, All in the Timing is a fast paced, clever, and joyfully unpredictable evening of comedy. The production features six one act plays that blend wit, intellect, satire, and pure fun. These are not just jokes for the sake of laughs. They are sharp observations about language, relationships, and the wonderfully strange rhythms of everyday life.
The New York Times once described the work as “like sketches for some hilarious, celestially conceived revue,” praising Ives for writing that is both uproariously funny and beautifully precise. That balance of humor and thoughtfulness is exactly what makes this show such a treat for audiences of all ages.
