Begin your journey at the Bloomberg Center Lobby on the Cornell Tech campus. Here, you’ll embark on a guided exploration of one of New York’s most forward-thinking academic and entrepreneurial environments. Discover sustainable design practices and the state-of-the-art facilities that foster collaboration and innovation. This is all part of the NYCxDESIGN Tour Cornell Tech and FDR Four Freedoms State Park.
FDR Four Freedoms State Park: A Tribute to Visionary Leadership
Just a short walk from Cornell Tech, the tour continues at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms State Park. This four-acre memorial, designed by architect Louis Kahn, honors President Roosevelt’s vision for a more just and peaceful world. As part of the NYCxDESIGN Tour Cornell Tech and FDR Four Freedoms State Park, the park’s design is both monumental and contemplative. It offers stunning views of the Manhattan skyline and the East River. Attendees will learn about the history behind Roosevelt’s Four Freedoms speech and the significance of the park’s design.
