Roosevelt Island News

Friends and neighbors, It’s a new year and a new calendar for RIOC activities. On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, our Roosevelt Island community is invited to join a Public Safety Meeting starting at 6:00 PM at Good Shepherd Church, located at 543 Main Street right here on the Island.

This meeting, hosted by the Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation (RIOC), is a chance for residents to stay informed about safety initiatives, public safety operations, and community concerns affecting our everyday life on the Island. Public safety is something we all care about deeply, from how our streets feel at night to how services are coordinated in emergencies. Events like this help keep everyone in the loop and give neighbors an opportunity to ask questions, share feedback, and connect with the people responsible for keeping us safe.

What to Expect

Discussion Topics

  • Updates from RIOC’s Public Safety Department
  • Neighborhood safety concerns and feedback
  • Information on local safety programs and resources

Why It Matters

Gatherings like this strengthen our community bonds and help ensure that Roosevelt Island remains a safe, welcoming place for all residents, visitors, and guests. Your voice matters, and public meetings are a great way to add it to the conversation.

Be sure to join your neighbors at 6:00 PM on January 14 to be part of the conversation and to stay informed about what’s happening right here in our own backyard.

If you want more details on upcoming events and meetings around town throughout the year, check out the RIOC community calendar anytime online. (Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation)
