With high humidity and temperatures expected in the low 90s, the National Weather Service issued a Heat Advisory for Roosevelt Island and the rest of New York. The danger zone begins this morning at 11:00 and lasts until 8:00 p.m. tomorrow.
Although nothing has been announced, RIOC is expected to set up a cooling center later today.
